POSITION
Mental Health Therapist
GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES
Provides in-office and telehealth therapy to adults who have children currently being served in the outpatient (OPMH) and early childhood mental health consultation programs (ECMHC). Services may include individual mental health counseling, couples counseling, support groups, and/or skill-building workshops focused on the needs of the parent/caregiver. Works as a team member with OPMH and ECMHC staff, other service providers, and family members. Provides counseling focused on resolving issues related to history of trauma, generalized depression and anxiety, grief, adjustment to parenthood and relationship issues and relationship abuse.

SALARY LEVEL
$60,000 licensed
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Minimum of a Master's degree from an accredited university in the area of psychology, social work, or related human services field. Licensed in Florida (LCSW, LMHC or LMFT). A minimum of two years' experience working in adult mental health. Experience working within family systems preferred. Bilingual (Spanish) a plus.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES
Complete intake assessments (biopsychosocial), treatment plans and treatment plan reviews, and other related medical record/case file documentation within the required time limits according to agency policy and procedure Provide 1 hour direct face-to-face contact weekly or bi-weekly, through the provision of individual and family therapy and/or couples therapy, with each of the assigned eligible participants. Frequency of sessions will be adjusted as the participant reaches treatment plan goals. Host a support group for parents/caregivers focused on addressing adult mental health needs Host skill-building workshops and/or psychoeducational groups for adults. Participate in treatment/service plan staffing, case reviews, and supervisory meetings, as appropriate. Provide after-care planning, follow-up services and refer clients to supportive services to supplement and/or augment treatment and counseling Provide, strengthen and maintain a clinical support role by providing support and training to participants and other team members and professionals involved in the case Maintain a caseload of 26-32 adult clients. Services will be in-office or telehealth. Maintain contact with OPMH and ECMHC staff and supervisors to discuss progress/concerns regarding the adult clients. Attend trainings as required Abide by agency Incident/Accident Reporting Procedures. Follow all mandated laws and rules for clients presenting with S/I or H/I, including following all state Baker Act procedures, development of a safety plan, after-care planning, etc. Close cases when appropriate according to agency policy and procedure Attend and participate in professional development trainings for professional growth as developed by the agency, or as required by the mental health department, and according to agency policy and procedure Other duties as assigned

Requires individual to perform a broad range of activities. Requires full range of motion, including manual and finger dexterity and hand and eye coordination. Requires corrected vision, speech, and hearing to normal range, or special accommodations made of sufficient nature for completion of assigned tasks. Ability to lift 30 pounds. Occasionally requires working under stressful conditions or working irregular hours. Requires seated work at desk, including use of a computer.
