Job Description

Coastal Detox is the leader in Drug & Alcohol Detox service here in Florida. We have a passionate team, dedicated to the mission that is serving people and changing lives of those afflicted with this disease. If you have that same passion for making true impact on the recovery community, we encourage you to apply! We are looking for a Full Time Therapist . The ideal candidates will be enthusiastic individuals who have a desire to impact the lives of those struggling with addiction and are team players. Ideal candidate is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker or a Licensed Mental Health Counselor. Registered interns are welcome to apply as well.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Adheres to all Coastal Detox, Inc. Policies and Procedures. Conducts self in a manner that represents Coastal Detox, Inc.'s values at all times. Maintains a positive and respectful attitude with all work-related contacts. Promotes a safe and therapeutic milieu for the clients. Develops therapeutic rapport with clients and significant others (as appropriate). Determines specific strengths and areas for improvement of each client. Assists in the formulation, implementation, evaluation, and modification of an individualized treatment plan assigned clients in conjunction with the medical staff. Assesses and follows-up on issues concerning clients' rights as related to the Baker Act, emergency admissions procedures, involuntary placement, etc. in conjunction with the Clinical Director. Facilitates individual and group therapy sessions. Facilitates family therapy as appropriate. Coordinates discharge planning with program treatment team, agencies, other community resources and family members (as appropriate). Participates as a vital member of the multidisciplinary treatment team through consultation with team members regarding client care. Communicates with families (as appropriate) and physicians in resolving problems associated with the client's admission and ongoing detoxification process. Completes written documentation for all services rendered to clients in client electronic medical record (EMR) ensuring records are accurate, complete, client-specific, and completed within specified timeframes. Completes assessments in order to gather pertinent information for the development of a proper treatment plan for each client. Works with the client to establish realistic, achievable goals consistent with achieving and maintaining recovery. Establishes accurate treatment and recovery expectations with the client and involved significant others including: nature of services; program goals; program procedures; rules regarding client conduct; schedule of treatment activities; factors affecting duration of care; and client's rights and responsibilities. Facilitates the client's engagement in treatment and recovery process. Ability to recognize how, when and why to involve the client's significant others in enhancing or supporting the treatment plan (as appropriate). Facilitates the development of basic life skills associated with recovery; makes constructive therapeutic responses when client's behavior is inconsistent with stated recovery goals. Provides therapy in compliance with internal policies, external governing statues and guidelines including the Baker Act, the Florida Department of Children and Families, The Joint Commission, etc. Protects client confidentiality as required by State and Federal Privacy Laws. Participates in in-service trainings as outlined by company within designated timeframes. Performs other duties as assigned by direct supervisor.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
Master's Degree in Social Work, or other related human services field required. LCSW preferred, LMHC, LMFT. 2 years of experience in a similar position or similar function. Experience in substance abuse field required. Excellent communication and documentation skills. Experience with Kipu electronic medical record (EMR) required.
