DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Provide individual, family and group therapy services to students and their families as appropriate to the position. 2. Conduct mental health screening/assessments to gather information about consumers (through interviews, collateral contact, psychological tests, and/or school personnel) working in collaboration with the RCPS system; evaluate data to identify cause of problem and to determine most appropriate therapeutic approaches. 3. Follow up to determine progress and attainment of treatment goals; make recommendations regarding modification to services and service delivery. 4. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of case records; documents therapeutic progress and reports/records data as required for AFE and for Rockdale County Schools. 5. Provide, arrange, and/or refer for therapeutic interventions as appropriate for clients in a crisis situations and for those with serious mental health problems. 6. Consults with other agencies, school personnel, in the performance of mental health services. 7. Attend agency staff meetings, Student Support Team, LIPT, STARS, RCPS and other agency stakeholders meetings. 8. Provides service coordination based upon each student's treatment plan in cooperation with student, his/her family, school system personnel, and other providers as necessary. 9. Prepare treatment plans, monthly reports, discharge plans, etc; analyze results of treatment efforts through use of functional assessment tools for indications of therapeutic progress; alters therapeutic approach as necessary. 10. Maintain professional relationship with community agencies and referral resources; link consumers to community agencies as required. 11. Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS
Applicants must possess a master's degree in one of the following areas: social work, professional counseling, or psychology; with at least 2 years of professional experience in the field of mental health. Applicants must be licensed by the State of Georgia Composite Board as an associate level clinician or higher. Applicant must have reliable transportation, Georgia driver license, and valid car insurance. Applicants must be able to pass a criminal background check and drug testing.
Pay:
$46,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
