Mental Health Therapist

Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dynamic Mental Health Therapist to join our dedicated team. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive mental health services to diverse populations, including children, adolescents, adults, and seniors. Duties Conduct thorough clinical assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-10 coding systems to accurately identify mental health conditions. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans incorporating psychotherapy modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, and applied behavior analysis. Provide individual, family, and crisis intervention sessions to address a wide range of mental health issues including PTSD, grief, addiction, gender issues, and developmental disabilities. Utilize telehealth platforms to deliver remote counseling services while maintaining HIPAA compliance and ensuring secure medical documentation. Manage case documentation meticulously in medical records, including patient care notes, treatment progress reports, and behavioral health data collection. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for case management, inpatient or outpatient care coordination, and clinical research initiatives. Offer specialized support for patients with autism spectrum disorder, chronic pain conditions, or those requiring behavior management strategies in various settings such as clinics or hospitals. Skills Extensive experience in psychotherapy techniques including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, and behavioral therapy. Proficiency in crisis management and crisis intervention strategies to support clients during urgent situations. Strong knowledge of ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10) for accurate diagnosis documentation and billing processes. Skilled in working with children, adolescents, individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder, geriatrics, and special education populations. Ability to conduct intake assessments effectively while adhering to HIPAA standards for patient confidentiality. Expertise in addiction counseling, grief counseling, trauma-informed care (including PTSD), and gender issues counseling. Familiarity with medical terminology related to behavioral health and experience working within hospital or inpatient settings is preferred.
