Full-time Licensed Behavioral Health Therapist Job Description:
Founded in 2015 by Dr. Sir Pegues, Creating A Difference seeks to improve mental health with a faith based and spiritual approach to the surrounding community. Our mission is to increase hope within each client by providing insight and a different perspective. Here at Creating A Difference, our intention is to place the wrong pieces in their rightful places to improve your wellbeing. We're seeking an experienced Licensed Behavioral Health Therapist who's eager to make a difference in clients' lives and contribute to our growing practice. The ideal candidate will be comfortable managing a caseload that includes a variety of behavioral/mental-health diagnoses. The Licensed Behavioral Health Therapist will work closely with clients to understand their needs and find the best approach to helping them achieve their goals. The office is open Monday through Thursday from 10 am to 6 pm.
JOB SUMMARY
The Licensed Behavioral Health Therapist is responsible for providing outpatient care and coordinating services across the care continuum for defined client populations. This includes risk assessment, transitional care planning, psychosocial and functional status assessment, client advocacy, motivational interviewing, education of the client/family and monitoring quality indicators that demonstrate outcomes from service provided.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assess, diagnose, and treat clients for behavioral and psychological disorders
  • Establish rapport with clients to assist them in understanding and accepting treatment recommendations
  • Prescribe and implement treatment consistent with a client's diagnosis and the relevant standards of care
  • Provide services in person and TeleMed
  • Perform duties while adhering to professional standards such as the American Psychological Association (APA) Ethical Principles of Psychologists and Code of Conduct
REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
  • Master's degree is required.
  • Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Certified or Licensed Clinical Professional (CCM Certified Care Manager), or applicable certification and licensure is required.
  • All licensure must be current and active for the state of Georgia.
  • Experience in providing psychological services to adults and/or children on an inpatient, outpatient, or consultative basis
Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
  • Doctor of psychology degree (or equivalent)
  • Flexibility regarding work hours and duties performed
