Job Summary This position begins part-time and progresses toward full-time. It is designed for a fully licensed therapist serving as a core clinical member (and potentially Team Leader pathway) on an Intensive Family Intervention team. improving family functioning by clinically stabilizing the living arrangement, promoting reunification, and preventing utilization of out-of-home therapeutic venues (psychiatric hospital, PRTF, residential treatment, or detention). Responsibilities include providing a full range of individual, family, and crisis intervention services; completing complex biopsychosocial assessments; collaborating on treatment planning; monitoring progress; and planning discharges within required timeframes. Services are delivered primarily in the home and community, with office and telehealth options as clinically appropriate and authorized. This opportunity centers on our Intensive Family Intervention (IFI) program in partnership with the juvenile courts of Bibb and Houston Counties. You will help stabilize families, reduce the risk of out-of-home placement, support reunification, and strengthen youth and caregiver capacity—exactly the kind of high-impact, systems-oriented work many licensed clinicians seek.

Court Collaboration Focus:

You will work closely with juvenile court stakeholders in Bibb and Houston Counties, including judges, probation/intake officers, CASA, and other child-serving agencies, while maintaining clinical independence and family-centered practice. Key Responsibilities Provide intensive individual, family, and crisis intervention services to youth with SED and/or substance use disorders and their families, consistent with the

service definition and authorized treatment plans. Deliver services primarily in the family's living arrangement and community settings (home, school coordination as appropriate, other natural environments), with the majority of contacts face-to-face as required for IFI fidelity. Provide counseling/therapy to clients requiring complex interventions, including those who are homicidal, suicidal, or exhibiting life-threatening behavior, with appropriate crisis response and safety planning. Participate as a core member of an IFI team (Team Leader + paraprofessionals) that maintains required staff-to-family ratios and provides 24/7 availability for crisis consultation through established on-call arrangements. Collaborate actively with Bibb and Houston County Juvenile Courts and related systems (probation, DFCS, schools, other providers) to support court-ordered services, eligibility determinations, and coordinated discharge/transition planning while protecting client confidentiality. Complete complex biopsychosocial assessments, develop and update Individualized Recovery/Resiliency Plans (IRPs), and document progress, interventions, and outcomes in accordance with DBHDD, Medicaid, and agency standards within required timeframes. Provide clinical support and guidance to paraprofessional team members serving assigned families. Perform assessments relevant to court depositions, legal proceedings, and eligibility determinations when clinically indicated and authorized. Maintain the confidentiality of client information in accordance with

HIPAA, 42 CFR

Part 2 (if applicable), and Georgia law. Attend and participate in weekly team staffing meetings and one potentially monthly collaborative meeting. Maintain established institutional policies and procedures, quality assurance, safety, and infection-control standards. Enhance professional growth through continuing education, evidence-based practice training, and participation in workshops. Serve as liaison with patients, families, courts, external facilities, and community agencies. Maintain active Georgia licensure and any required evidence-based treatment certifications; pursue or maintain training in evidence-based in-home models (e.g., Multisystemic Therapy elements, Multidimensional Family Therapy, trauma-informed care, DBT skills) as directed by the agency. Qualifications (Required) Active, unrestricted license in the State of Georgia as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). (Associate-level licenses such as LAPC, LAMFT, or LMSW do not meet the independent practitioner requirements for this IFI clinical role / Team Leader pathway under current DBHDD staffing standards.) Minimum of three (3) years of experience working with children and adolescents with severe emotional disturbances (SED) strongly preferred for Team Leader pathway; solid Willingness to undergo a background check and drug screening in accordance with local laws, DBHDD, and agency requirements.

Familiarity with Intensive Family Intervention standards, including team structure, documentation, and outcome expectations. Training or certification in evidence-based family or trauma-focused models (e.g., Trauma-Focused CBT, Multisystemic Therapy principles, Multidimensional Family Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy skills, Parent Management Training). Willingness to support a psychologically safe, diverse, and inclusive workplace. Proficiency with EHR/practice management software, Google Workspace, and general IT tools; openness to AI-assisted clinical workflows where appropriate. Ability to remain calm and adaptable under pressure; excellent customer service and team-player orientation. Experience creating and maintaining collaborative relationships with child-serving agencies, courts, schools, and community partners. Current CPR/First Aid certification.
