Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Therapist to join our dynamic behavioral health team. In this vital role, you will provide evidence-based mental health services to diverse populations, including children, adolescents, adults, and seniors. Your expertise will help individuals navigate emotional challenges, manage mental health conditions, and improve their overall well-being. Duties Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding standards to determine patient needs. Provide individual, group, and family therapy sessions employing evidence-based practices such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, and applied behavior analysis (ABA). Deliver crisis intervention and crisis management services to de-escalate situations and ensure patient safety. Develop personalized treatment plans aligned with clinical documentation standards Utilize telehealth platforms for remote therapy sessions, ensuring seamless delivery of mental health counseling across various settings. Maintain accurate clinical records using ICD coding systems (ICD-9/ICD-10) and CPT coding for billing purposes while adhering to clinical ethical guidelines. Stay current with medical terminology updates and behavioral health trends to enhance therapeutic effectiveness. Qualifications Master's degree or higher in social work, psychology, mental health counseling, marriage and family therapy, and counseling psychology or related field from an accredited institution. Valid licensure or certification as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or equivalent credentialing recognized in your region. Proven experience in psychotherapy modalities including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, group therapy, grief counseling, addiction counseling, pediatric mental health care, geriatrics or hospital-based settings. Demonstrated expertise in crisis intervention techniques and crisis management protocols. Familiarity with telehealth therapy platforms and clinical documentation standards compliant with HIPAA regulations. Knowledge of ICD coding systems (ICD-9/ICD-10), CPT coding for billing processes, medical terminology, and medical records management. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage patients effectively across diverse backgrounds. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams in outpatient or inpatient environments.
