Role Description This full-time Therapist role is an on-site position based in Northbrook, IL. The Therapist will provide individual and family psychotherapy, primarily to children, teens, and young to middle-aged adults, using evidence-based approaches aligned with client needs and goals. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting intake assessments, developing treatment plans, maintaining accurate and timely clinical documentation, and coordinating care with other providers when appropriate. The role also involves participating in case consultations, engaging in regular supervision or peer review, and contributing to a supportive, collaborative clinic culture. The Therapist is expected to uphold ethical standards, maintain professional boundaries, and help foster a welcoming, inclusive environment for clients and colleagues. Qualifications Licensed or license-eligible mental health professional (e.g., LCPC, LCSW, LMFT, Psychologist) in the state of Illinois. Demonstrated skills in individual and family therapy, including assessment, treatment planning, and use of evidence-based interventions. Experience or strong interest in working with children, teens, and young to middle-aged adults across diverse backgrounds. Strong interpersonal, communication, and active listening skills, with the ability to build therapeutic rapport and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team. Ability to maintain accurate clinical documentation, manage a caseload effectively, and use electronic health record systems or practice management software. Commitment to ethical practice, cultural humility, and non-discriminatory, gender-neutral, and trauma-informed care. Master's or doctoral degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related mental health field. Prior experience in outpatient therapy, community mental health, or private practice settings is preferred but not required.
