In this role, you will implement individualized behavioral interventions, assist with daily living skills, and support progress toward treatment goals through data-driven strategies. Responsibilities Implement evidence-based applied behavior analysis techniques to promote skill development and reduce challenging behaviors in children with autism and other developmental disabilities. Collect, record, and analyze behavioral data to monitor progress and inform treatment adjustments. Assist children with activities of daily living (ADLs), including hygiene, dressing, feeding, and communication skills. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop, review, and update individualized care plans tailored to each child's needs. Support classroom or home-based teaching environments by applying behavior management strategies that foster positive behavior. Maintain accurate documentation of sessions, progress notes, and medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Communicate effectively with families, caregivers, and team members to ensure consistency of care and share progress updates. Qualifications Prior experience or training in behavioral therapy, applied behavior analysis, or working with children with developmental disabilities is preferred. Strong understanding of behavior management techniques and data collection methods. Compassionate attitude with a passion for working with children on the autism spectrum or with special needs. Ability to assist with ADLs and implement teaching strategies within educational or clinical settings. Knowledge of medical terminology, medical documentation standards, and confidentiality regulations such as HIPAA. Excellent communication skills for collaborating with families and team members effectively. Patience, adaptability, and a proactive approach to supporting individual treatment plans.
