In this vital role, you will provide evidence-based psychotherapy and counseling services to diverse populations, including children, adolescents, and adults. You will conduct comprehensive mental health assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and deliver therapeutic interventions through in-person and telehealth platforms. Your expertise will help clients navigate complex emotional, behavioral, and psychological challenges, fostering resilience and promoting overall well-being. Duties Conduct thorough clinical assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding standards to determine client needs. Develop personalized treatment plans incorporating evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-focused therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and applied behavior analysis (ABA). Provide individual, group, child & family counseling, and youth therapy sessions tailored to client-specific goals. Utilize motivational interviewing techniques to enhance client engagement and facilitate positive behavioral change. Deliver crisis intervention and crisis management services to ensure client safety during acute episodes. Maintain accurate clinical documentation adhering to HIPAA regulations, clinical documentation standards, and medical terminology requirements within electronic health records (EHR/EMR). Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on case management, patient care coordination, and treatment planning for clients with co-occurring disorders or developmental disabilities. Conduct mental health assessments for patients experiencing PTSD, grief, chronic pain, or gender issues counseling needs. Engage in telehealth therapy sessions utilizing secure platforms to expand access to mental health services. Participate in clinical research projects to advance best practices in behavioral health care. Provide direct support in inpatient or outpatient settings with experience working with individuals with autism or disabilities. Implement behavior management strategies and social work principles to promote client progress across diverse environments including pediatrics and geriatrics. Experience Proven experience delivering psychotherapy using evidence-based practices such as CBT, psychodynamic therapy, or trauma-focused approaches. Demonstrated success working with children, adolescents, or individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder (ASD). Experience providing crisis intervention and managing emergency situations effectively. Prior work in hospital or outpatient clinics with familiarity of clinical documentation standards and medical records management. Skilled in conducting mental health assessments using ICD coding systems (ICD-9/ICD-10) for diagnostic evaluation purposes. Experience working with co-occurring disorders involving mental health and substance use issues; addiction counseling experience is a plus. Knowledge of telehealth platforms and delivering therapy via telehealth modalities while maintaining HIPAA compliance. Background in social work or clinical counseling with a focus on patient-centered care across diverse populations including pediatrics and geriatrics. Familiarity with medical terminology related to behavioral health conditions; experience working within hospital or inpatient settings is advantageous. Ability to adhere to clinical ethical guidelines while providing compassionate care that respects client confidentiality and cultural diversity.
