Brooklyn, MD Job Details Part-time | Full-time | Contract $40 - $45 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications LCPC Full Job Description Damascus House, Inc seeking a compassionate and dedicated Therapist to join our team. We are a treatment center for men with Substance Use Disorders; we offer residential treatment and IOP/OP. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality mental health care to clients, utilizing evidence-based practices and therapeutic techniques. This role requires strong interpersonal skills, a deep understanding of various therapeutic modalities, and a commitment to patient care. The Therapist will work with individuals to support their mental health needs and facilitate positive change. Hours are flexible. Must be licensed in Maryland as LCPC and Medicaid approved provider. Duties Conduct thorough diagnostic evaluations to assess clients' mental health status and needs. Provide individual counseling sessions, employing various therapeutic techniques tailored to each client's unique situation. Develop and implement treatment plans based on clinical assessments, ensuring alignment with best practices in behavioral therapy. Maintain accurate and confidential client records in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Skills Strong client care skills with a focus on empathy and active listening. Experience in individual counseling and the ability to facilitate engaging discussions. Knowledge of diagnostic evaluation techniques to assess mental health conditions effectively. Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure client confidentiality and ethical practice. Competence in behavioral therapy techniques that promote positive behavioral changes. This position is ideal for individuals passionate about making a difference in the lives of others through effective therapeutic practices while adhering to professional standards of care.
Pay:
$40.00 - $45.00 per hour People with a criminal record are encouraged to apply
