Part-Time Mental Health Therapist Join a Practice Where You Can Do the Work You Love and Leave the Business to Us MATR Counseling is seeking compassionate, trauma-informed therapists to join our growing faith-based group practice in Maryland. You didn't become a therapist to spend your evenings returning phone calls, chasing insurance claims, marketing yourself, or wondering where your next referral will come from. You became a therapist because you wanted to help people heal. At MATR Counseling, we handle referrals, scheduling, billing, insurance, administrative support, and day-to-day practice operations so our clinicians can focus on providing exceptional care. This part-time W-2 position is ideal for a dependable therapist who wants to build a caseload of approximately 15 completed client sessions per week while receiving the support, collaboration, and professional-development opportunities of a group practice. Positions are available in Linthicum Heights, Rockville, and through telehealth, depending on clinician availability and practice needs. Compensation $45-$60 per completed clinical session, based on licensure, experience, specialty training, and responsibilities. Approved administrative work and supervisory responsibilities are compensated separately. consultation Consistent referrals to help build your caseload Billing, scheduling, credentialing, and administrative support Flexible in-person, hybrid, and telehealth scheduling options Beautiful, modern office space Collaborative and supportive team culture Professional-development opportunities Leadership committed to your clinical growth and success Your Role Provide individual, couples, and/or family psychotherapy based on your competencies and clinical interests Maintain timely, accurate, and high-quality clinical documentation Develop a clinical niche aligned with your interests and the needs of the practice Collaborate with the clinical team and participate in required supervision or consultation Provide ethical, trauma-informed, and evidence-based care Help create an exceptional client experience from intake through successful discharge Continue developing your clinical skills while contributing to a healthy, supportive team culture Required Qualifications Active Maryland clinical or graduate-level license, including LCPC, LGPC, LCSW-C, LMSW, psychologist, or another eligible behavioral health credential Master's degree or higher in counseling, social work, psychology, marriage and family therapy, or a related behavioral health field Experience providing psychotherapy Strong clinical judgment, professionalism, and communication skills Ability to complete documentation accurately and within required timeframes Comfort using Google Workspace and electronic health record systems such as Jane App, or willingness to learn Willingness to offer some evening and/or Saturday availability based on practice and client needs Ability and willingness to build and maintain approximately 15 completed client sessions per week Preferred Qualifications Experience treating trauma, PTSD, or Complex PTSD or a strong interest in developing trauma-treatment expertise Experience providing couples or family therapy Training or interest in EMDR, Brainspotting, neurofeedback, somatic therapy, IFS, or other advanced trauma-treatment approaches Experience treating narcissistic abuse and relationship trauma A growth mindset and genuine commitment to lifelong learning The Clinician We're Looking For You care deeply about people and believe excellent therapy combines compassion, sound clinical judgment, and evidence-based practice. We provide evidence-based treatment for trauma, PTSD, Complex PTSD, anxiety, depression, grief, ADHD, relationship concerns, and narcissistic abuse recovery. We also provide Christian counseling for clients who request faith-integrated care. As a faith-based practice, we welcome clients and clinicians from all backgrounds.
