Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Mental Health Therapist to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive mental health services to diverse populations, including children, adolescents, adults, and seniors. Your expertise will help clients navigate emotional challenges, develop coping strategies, and achieve mental wellness through evidence-based therapies. Duties Conduct thorough patient assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding systems to accurately identify mental health conditions. Deliver individual, group, and family therapy sessions employing techniques such as psychotherapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, and applied behavior analysis. Implement crisis intervention strategies to manage acute psychiatric episodes and ensure patient safety in inpatient or outpatient settings. Facilitate intake processes by gathering comprehensive medical documentation, medical terminology understanding, and HIPAA-compliant record keeping. Develop personalized treatment plans incorporating behavioral management, social work principles, addiction counseling, grief counseling, PTSD care, and gender issues counseling. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate case management efforts and ensure continuity of care across inpatient, outpatient, or telehealth platforms. Document all patient interactions meticulously in medical records while adhering to CPT coding standards for billing purposes. Engage in clinical research initiatives to enhance evidence-based practices within behavioral health services. Utilize telehealth experience to provide accessible mental health support remotely while maintaining high standards of patient care. Manage behavioral health crises effectively through crisis management protocols and social work interventions tailored to individual needs. Experience Proven experience in clinical counseling with a focus on mental health therapies such as psychotherapy, psychodynamic therapy, behavioral therapy, and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). Demonstrated ability working with children, adolescents, individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder (ASD), geriatrics, or patients with chronic pain conditions. Experience providing crisis management and crisis intervention services in inpatient or outpatient settings. Familiarity with ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding systems for accurate diagnosis documentation and billing procedures. Prior telehealth experience is highly desirable for delivering remote patient care effectively. Knowledge of medical terminology related to behavioral health disorders and medication management (psychopharmacology). Strong background in group therapy facilitation and case management within diverse clinical environments. Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams including social workers, medical professionals, educators in special education settings, and other healthcare providers.
