A Family or Behavioral Therapist works with clients who need help dealing with emotional disorders or problems with family and relationships. Addresses client problems in the context of family relationships; helps clients develop ways to recognize and change behavior patterns. Works with individuals, couples or families.
Four‑day, 36-hour work week — Monday through Thursday Position Summary The Licensed Mental Health Professional provides high-quality, evidence-based behavioral health services, including individual, family, and group interventions tailored to patient needs. This role requires active Maryland licensure (LGPC, LCPC, LMSW, or LCSW-C), collaboration within a multidisciplinary team, and strong organizational and communication skills. Key Responsibilities Provide high quality treatment using evidenced based practices. Plan and carry out appropriate individual, family, and group interventions relative to the needs of the patient. Provide health promotion and training as requested. Acquire and maintain appropriate clinical licensure, practice within scope of licensure as directed by Maryland COMAR and appropriate Board of Licensure Maintain total confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA law, CARF accreditation standards and Maryland State Regulations Perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications & Experience Licensed mental health professional. Must possess a State of Maryland license of LGPC, LCPC, LMSW, or LCSW-C. Current CPR and First Aid certification. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a teamwork environment. Possess skills in crisis intervention, evident base treatment, and client advocacy. Why Join HealthPort?
