We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Behavioral Health Therapist to join our integrated care team. This role provides high-quality outpatient behavioral health services to patients experiencing mental health concerns, emotional distress, and psychosocial challenges. The Behavioral Health Therapist conducts comprehensive assessments, develops individualized treatment plans, and provides evidence-based psychotherapy to support patients in achieving their behavioral health goals. This position works collaboratively with primary care providers, specialists, and interdisciplinary care teams to promote whole-person care and improve patient outcomes. All services are delivered in accordance with applicable professional standards, ethical guidelines, and state licensing requirements.Opportunity Details FTE:

Key Responsibilities- Assessment & Treatment Planning Conduct comprehensive behavioral health assessments, including psychosocial evaluations and mental health screenings.
- Psychotherapy & Clinical Interventions Provide individual, family, and group psychotherapy using evidence-based treatment modalities.
- Integrated Care Collaboration Collaborate closely with physicians, advanced practice providers, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
- Documentation & Professional Responsibilities Maintain timely, accurate, and complete clinical documentation in accordance with organizational, regulatory, and billing requirements.
Education Required:
Master's degree in social work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychology, or related behavioral health field from an accredited program.
Licensure & Certifications Required:
One of the following active Michigan licenses: Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) (if applicable) Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) Licensed Psychologist (LP) Limited License Psychologist (LLP) (if supervision requirements are met)Preferred:
Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CAADC) Additional training in evidence-based therapeutic modalities•Experience Required:
Minimum of two (2) years of experience providing psychotherapy, counseling, or behavioral health services.Preferred:
Experience within an outpatient, ambulatory, integrated care, or medical setting. Experience treating anxiety, depression, trauma-related disorders, adjustment disorders, and behavioral health conditions commonly seen in primary care. Experience working with patients diagnosed with Psychogenic Nonepileptic Seizures (PNES) or willingness to complete specialized training.- Skills & Competencies Strong psychotherapy and counseling skills Expertise in behavioral health assessment and treatment planning Knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic interventions Ability to manage crisis situations and conduct risk assessments Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills Ability to work independently while functioning effectively within a multidisciplinary team Excellent organizational, time management, and clinical documentation skills Commitment to patient-centered, trauma-informed, and recovery-oriented care About Trinity Health IHA Medical Group Established in 1994, Trinity Health IHA Medical Group is one of the largest multi-specialty medical groups in Michigan delivering more than one million patient visits each year, practicing based on the guiding principle: our family caring for yours.
