- Adult Mental Health Outpatient Therapist, you will be responsible for the following: Responsible for the evaluation and diagnoses of recipients with varied mental health conditions such as
- Anxiety, Bipolar disorder, Depression, Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), Schizophrenia etc.
Utilizes and promotes trauma-informed treatment through the provision of evidence based practices. Utilizes motivational interviewing techniques to assess and articulate the motivation of consumers to address specific needs identified during the assessment process. Participates in developing the patient's treatment plan and outcomes in cooperation with the treatment team. Provides direct therapeutic services consisting of individual, group, and/or family therapy dependent on the patient's needs. Makes ongoing assessments regarding the patient's progress in treatment and revises the treatment plan according to patient needs. Completes clinical documentation accurately and in a timely manner utilizing the PCE system. Establishes and maintains contact and relationships with referral sources related to patient caseload. Plans for continuing care of patient and makes appropriate referrals. Monitors and completes insurance/outpatient authorizations for patient caseload. Provides referrals for additional care or services when required. Participates in regular supervision with the manager and seeks out additional supervision as needed. Adheres to all applicable provisions of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA). Adheres to the Office of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services (OMHSAS), Department of Public Welfare (DPW), and Department of Drug and Alcohol Programs (DDAP) regulations. Completes mandatory orientation and annual training programs; completes applicable attendance/ timesheet documentation. Provides coverage for other programs as needed. Performs other similar and related duties as necessary and/or as assigned. Stays current with professional credentialing and knowledge base with the scope of practice. Participates in staff meeting, committees and professional development activities. Participate in regularly scheduled clinical supervision, case consultations, case management and team meetings. Document all face-to-face service activity and phone contact pertaining to consumers. Perform within acceptable standards of productivity. Complete all documentation within expected timeframes. Proactively manage and update chart notes, and report accurate timesheets using Pulse's HR system
Respond in writing to routine chart reviews and audits. Maintain appropriate state licensure or certification. Maintain appropriate professional ethics and boundaries. Abide by all Pulse Community Health policies and procedures. Other duties as assigned. Past Experience working with DWIHN is a plus. Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with patients, families, and other professionals. Understands the nature of addiction, including its psychological, physiological, and social aspects. Ability to conduct thorough assessments to diagnose substance use disorders and/or cooccurring conditions. Ability to provide individual and/or group therapy to help patients understand their addiction and develop coping strategies. Skilled at analyzing complex situations and making sound decisions regarding treatment and intervention strategies. Has the capacity to manage personal stress and maintain professionalism in challenging situations. Ability to work and thrive in a team consisting of Case Managers, Intake Specialists, Admins, Therapists, and Psychiatrists. Ability to uphold strict confidentiality to protect patients' privacy.
