Our Children and Adolescent Day Treatment programs are founded on evidence based and strengths-based philosophies and strategies. As a trauma-informed program, our clinicians concentrate on processing trauma and managing painful thoughts, feelings and behaviors, improving safety, enhancing relationships, offering support and fostering improved communication within families. The Elk River Day Treatment Program of Catholic Charities is seeking Clinical Trainee or Licensed Therapist to work with a fast-paced, highly experienced, supportive, creative team to provide mental health services to children and adolescents. The right candidate will:
•Have strong character and sense of themselves Demonstrate flexible thinking Understand their role in being a "Team Player" Be strengths-based Have a philosophy of treating the "whole child," not only the child's mental health needs Be able to apply concepts learned both in the academic and on-the-job settings Know how to work hard•and play hard! The Clinical Trainee or Licensed Therapist will join the team to provide group, individual and family therapy. This is a unique environment that allows Clinical Trainees to gain experience in all three service areas.
What We're Looking For Clinical Trainee Qualifications:
•Has completed an accredited graduate program of study to prepare the staff person for independent licensure as a mental health professional and who is in compliance with the requirements of the applicable health-related licensing board, including requirements for supervised practice.
Licensed Therapist Qualifications:
•Master's degree in a related field plus a Minnesota license as an LICSW, LMFT, LP, or LPCC required A minimum of 2 years of post-Master's experience, including completion of clinical supervision toward licensure Strong verbal and written communication Flexible Thinking Experience with children and/or adolescent preferred Why Join Us?
