Job Description
Amethyst Behavioral Healthcare is growing, and we're looking for a Mental Health Therapist to join our outpatient substance use disorder treatment program in St. Paul. This position is designed for a clinician who wants to work at the intersection of mental health, substance use, and recovery as part of an interdisciplinary treatment team. You'll provide individual mental health therapy, diagnostic assessments, mental health groups, and clinical consultation while working closely with LADCs, peer recovery specialists, and program leadership to provide truly integrated care. What You'll Do Provide individual mental health therapy to adults with co-occurring mental health and substance use needs Complete diagnostic assessments and establish appropriate mental health diagnoses within your scope of practice Facilitate engaging mental health and psychoeducational groups Develop and update individualized mental health treatment goals and interventions Participate in clinical staffing, treatment team meetings, and case consultation Provide mental health consultation to LADCs and other members of the interdisciplinary treatment team Collaborate with clients and the treatment team to integrate mental health and substance use treatment Identify mental health symptoms, trauma, behavioral patterns, and other factors that may affect recovery and treatment engagement Utilize evidence-based and person-centered interventions appropriate to client needs Coordinate with outside mental health, medical, and community providers when appropriate Complete timely, clinically appropriate documentation Help shape and strengthen Amethyst's developing co-occurring mental health services What We're Looking For Licensed Clinicians Current Minnesota licensure as an:
