Job Profile Summary The Licensed Outpatient Mental Health Therapist provides evidence-based outpatient behavioral health services to individuals and families within the health system, functioning as an independently licensed provider in ambulatory or other designated settings. The role delivers direct clinical care while ensuring accurate documentation and professional billing, collaborating with interdisciplinary medical and behavioral health teams within integrated care models. Services are provided in compliance with professional standards, regulatory and payer requirements, and organizational policies, supporting continuity of care, patient-centered outcomes, and the health system's quality, access, and sustainability goals.

Friday Days Overview:
Predominantly responsibleforcare coordinationneedsof incoming clients,includingdiagnosing,consultation,providingevidence-basedmental healthinterventions, and managing crisis situationsforindividualclientsand groupsin an outpatientteam-basedsetting. The role delivers direct clinical care while ensuring accurate documentation and professional billing, collaborating with interdisciplinary medical and behavioral health teams within integrated care models. Services are provided in compliance with professional standards, regulatory and payer requirements, and organizational policies, supporting continuity of care, patient-centered outcomes, and the health system's quality, access, and sustainability goals.
Education:
Master's degree in social work, counseling, marriage and family therapy, or psychology.
Licensure:
Licensed clinical social worker (LSCW), licensed professional counselor (LPC), licensed marriage and family therapist (LMFT), or licensed psychologist.
Experience:
2 years of outpatient mental health experience in a medical or health system setting, including assessment, diagnosis, and psychotherapy with diverse and complex populations.
Certifications:
Must have a current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider Card or complete a course within their probation period.
Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:
Knowledge of a variety of therapy interventions, including brief therapy and psychiatric disorders; skilled in therapeutic communication and conflict management; able to defuse potentially violent situations, possess superior interaction and critical thinking skills and sound judgment.
