Counsel clients on a one-to-one session to assist in dealing with mental health and addiction issues. Interviews clients, reviews applicable records, and confers with other professionals to evaluate mental conditions. Collaborate with supervisors, directors, staff physicians, and other pertinent professionals to plan and coordinate treatment, drawing on experience and the needs and strengths of individual youths. Monitor, evaluate, and record client progress with respect to treatment goals. Refer clients- and if applicable
- family members to community resources for services to assist in meeting treatment goals and recovery, following through to ensure service efficacy.

- the willingness and ability to productively utilize work time to meet the needs of the individuals being served as directed, with the understanding that specific program outcomes and fiscal goals (billing, case load number maintenance, weekly) must be met monthly.

Requirements Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Psychology — Knowledge of human behavior and performance; individual differences in ability, personality, and interests; learning and motivation; psychological research methods; and the assessment and treatment of behavioral and affective disorders. Therapy and Counseling — Knowledge of principles, methods, and procedures for diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation of physical and mental dysfunctions, and for career counseling and guidance. Customer and Personal Service — Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction. An advanced degree (MS, MA, PhD) in Psychology, Social Work, or related field. Requires one (1) year direct work experience and a current LCPC or LCSW License. As a condition of continued employment, AWARE's Co-Occurring Specialist must maintain the specific professional license and/or professional certification as required by state, federal governing boards, and other such certification boards. Co-Occurring Staff will be required to demonstrate or earn 4 Continuing Education Units in co-occurring therapy. Candidate does not need to be dually licensed- we can offer continuing education units.
