Licensed Mental Health Therapist Cognitive Clarity Apex, NC Job Details Part-time | Full-time $50,000 - $70,000 a year 3 hours ago Benefits Flexible schedule Qualifications EMDR Licensed Clinical Social Worker Telehealth experience Mental health counseling Telehealth therapy Full Job Description Cognitive Clarity Counseling is a small private practice located in Apex, North Carolina, focused on connection and positive client experience. We believe the best clinical outcomes come from clinicians who have a clear sense of identity in their work—whether that's a population, modality, or lived-experience-informed specialty. We are not a high-volume "see anyone for anything" practice. We are a specialty-aligned, depth-oriented practice that prioritizes meaningful clinical work over productivity-based churn. Our clinicians tend to specialize in areas such as: ADHD and executive functioning support Neurodivergent populations (adult or adolescent) Anxiety and high-functioning anxiety Trauma-focused therapy and EMDR Adolescents and young adult populations Somatic, integrative, or experiential approaches Emerging or non-traditional modalities (hypnotherapy, energy-informed work, etc.) We welcome clinicians who bring a defined lens, modality, or passion into their clinical identity. Who We're Looking For We are seeking a clinician who: Has a clearly defined clinical niche or area of passion Enjoys depth-oriented, relational clinical work Values autonomy and professional independence Is comfortable building and maintaining a consistent caseload over time Wants to be part of a small, intentional, values-driven practice Is open to working in office at least two days of the week until 6:30pm to accommodate after work/school hours.
Minimum Requirements:
Fully licensed in North Carolina (LCSW, LCMHC, LMFT, or equivalent) preferred Associate-level clinicians considered if they bring strong life experience and/or clinical direction in the form of passion. Ability to work independently without in-house supervision (external supervision is the clinician's responsibility unless otherwise arranged) Comfortable with telehealth and/or in-person sessions in Apex, NC What Makes This Practice Different This is not a traditional group practice model.
We prioritize:
Clinician autonomy in clinical style and specialty focus Low administrative friction Flexible, sustainable caseload expectations Clinician wellbeing We are especially interested in clinicians who feel called to a specific population or modality—not generalists trying to "do everything." Compensation Structure (Transparent & Predictable) We use a hybrid W2 compensation model designed for stability and long-term growth: 1. Hourly Pay Clinicians are paid for all approved professional time, including: Client sessions with documentation Case coordination Marketing or outreach events Administrative practice responsibilities 2. Clinical Revenue Share In addition to hourly pay: Clinicians receive a percentage of collected revenue per clinical session 3. Productivity Flex Benefit Bonus Clinicians are eligible for a quarterly caseload-based bonus , designed to reward consistency over time. Bonus structure is based on average weekly caseload: 15-19 clients/week 20-22 clients/week 23+ clients/week Ideal Fit for This Role This role tends to be a strong fit for clinicians who: Have a clear clinical identity or specialty focus Want to see at least 20 clients per week Has a growth mindset and is a self starter Are looking for a sustainable caseload Are motivated by both clinical impact and long-term income growth Want the private practice feel without being bogged down by admin work and isolation Is open to team building, light-hearted talks, and fun in the workplace Cover Letters Mandatory - We are especially interested in understanding what kind of clinician you are or are becoming , not just where you have worked.
Pay:
$50,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
