Duties Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and diagnostic evaluations using ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding systems to determine treatment needs. Provide individual, group, and family therapy sessions employing approaches such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, and applied behavior analysis (ABA). Implement crisis intervention strategies and crisis management techniques to ensure patient safety during acute episodes. Develop personalized treatment plans aligned with clinical research findings and best practices in behavioral health. Maintain accurate medical documentation, medical records, and HIPAA-compliant notes reflecting patient progress and treatment outcomes. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate case management and ensure continuity of care for patients with complex needs. Utilize telehealth platforms effectively to deliver outpatient services remotely, ensuring accessibility for all clients. Experience Proven experience in outpatient mental health counseling within clinical or hospital settings. Strong background in psychotherapy modalities including motivational interviewing, behavioral therapy, psychopharmacology support, and grief counseling. Experience working with children, adolescents, adults, geriatrics, and individuals with disabilities or developmental disorders such as autism spectrum disorder (ASD). Familiarity with ICD coding systems (ICD-9/ICD-10), CPT coding for billing purposes, and medical terminology related to behavioral health. Demonstrated ability to handle crisis situations effectively through crisis intervention and crisis management skills. Prior telehealth experience is highly desirable to facilitate remote patient care delivery. Knowledge of special education principles and working with individuals with chronic pain or PTSD is a plus.
