Role Description This full-time Therapist role is an on-site position based in Newark, NJ. The Therapist will provide direct, developmentally informed therapeutic services to neurodivergent children and teens, including individual and small-group sessions. Daily responsibilities include assessing client needs, developing and implementing treatment plans, documenting progress, and collaborating closely with families and caregivers. The Therapist will also work as part of a multidisciplinary team, participate in case conferences, and contribute to program development. Additional duties may include coordinating with schools and community providers, maintaining accurate records, and engaging in ongoing professional learning to support best practices in neurodiversity-affirming care. Qualifications Clinical skills in child and adolescent therapy, such as assessment, treatment planning, and evidence-informed interventions. Experience working with neurodivergent children and teens (e.g., autism, ADHD, learning differences) in therapeutic or educational settings. Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with families, caregivers, and multidisciplinary teams. Ability to create a supportive, inclusive, and culturally responsive environment that centers client strengths and autonomy. Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field; state licensure or license eligibility preferred (e.g., LCSW, LPC, LMFT). Comfort with maintaining detailed, accurate clinical documentation and adhering to ethical and regulatory standards. Commitment to ongoing professional development in neurodiversity-affirming practices and developmental approaches. Ability to work on-site in Newark, NJ, with flexibility to support clients and families during standard business hours and, as needed, occasional early evenings.
