Job Description
Position Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) to join a growing behavioral health team in Alamogordo, NM. This role provides comprehensive mental health services to individuals and families in a community-focused setting, with an emphasis on access, continuity of care, and patient-centered treatment. This is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a rural and underserved community , working within a collaborative care model alongside medical and behavioral health providers, with appropriate clinical supervision. Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments and assist with diagnostic evaluations Develop and implement individualized treatment plans under supervision as required Provide individual, family, and/or group therapy (within scope and supervision guidelines) Deliver evidence-based interventions (CBT, DBT, trauma-informed care, etc.) Provide crisis intervention and risk assessments when necessary Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in EMR systems Collaborate with primary care providers, psychiatric providers, and care teams Educate patients and families on treatment plans, coping strategies, and resources Participate in case reviews, supervision sessions, team meetings, and quality improvement initiatives Qualifications Active, unrestricted LMSW license in New Mexico Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) Experience in outpatient behavioral health, community mental health, or integrated care preferred Strong clinical assessment skills and foundational diagnostic knowledge Knowledge of evidence-based treatment modalities Preferred Qualifications Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred Experience working with rural or underserved populations Background in substance use treatment or co-occurring disorders Experience in integrated behavioral health or primary care settings Skills & Competencies Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to manage a diverse caseload in a community setting Team-oriented with strong collaboration skills Cultural competence and adaptability Work Environment Outpatient clinic setting with potential for integrated primary care collaboration Opportunity to provide both in-person and telehealth services Supportive, mission-driven team environment Clinical supervision provided (if applicable for independent licensure progression) Compensation & Benefits Competitive salary (based on experience and licensure level) Potential sign-on bonus and/or relocation assistance Comprehensive benefits package (medical, dental, vision) Paid time off and holidays Clinical supervision support for licensure advancement CEU reimbursement and professional development support Opportunity for growth into senior or independently licensed roles
