Mental Health Therapist

Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dynamic Mental Health Therapist to join our dedicated team. Responsibilities Conduct thorough patient assessments, including intake interviews and diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding systems for accurate documentation. Deliver individual, group, and family counseling sessions employing modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, and applied behavior analysis (ABA). Implement crisis intervention strategies and crisis management protocols to ensure patient safety during urgent situations. Provide specialized counseling services for issues such as addiction, grief, PTSD care, gender identity concerns, chronic pain management, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), developmental disabilities, and geriatrics. Maintain detailed medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and document patient progress using medical terminology and appropriate CPT coding. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on case management plans and coordinate care for patients requiring inpatient or outpatient services. Engage in clinical research and data collection efforts to improve treatment outcomes and contribute to evidence-based practices. Requirements Master's degree or higher in psychology, social work, counseling, or a related mental health field from an accredited institution. Valid licensure or certification as a licensed mental health counselor (LMHC), licensed clinical social worker (LCSW), psychologist, or equivalent credentialing where applicable. Proven experience working with children, adolescents, adults, or seniors in clinical settings such as outpatient clinics or hospitals. Demonstrated proficiency in psychotherapy techniques including motivational interviewing, behavioral therapy, psychopharmacology collaboration, and crisis management. Familiarity with ICD coding systems (ICD-9/ICD-10) for diagnosis documentation and CPT coding for billing purposes. Experience with telehealth platforms and delivering services remotely is highly desirable. Strong understanding of medical terminology related to behavioral health and ability to manage medical records accurately. Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with diverse populations while maintaining professional boundaries. Supervision free if you take this offer of 10 hours a week.
