Mental Health Therapist - Part-time

Job Overview We are seeking an energetic and compassionate Part-time Mental Health Therapist to join our dynamic behavioral health team. Duties Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-10 coding systems to accurately identify client needs. Deliver individual, group, and family therapy sessions employing modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, and dance therapy. Implement crisis management strategies and crisis intervention techniques to ensure client safety during emergencies. Provide specialized counseling services including grief counseling, addiction counseling, PTSD care, gender issues counseling, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism. Maintain thorough medical documentation and medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations; accurately record patient care activities and treatment progress. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on case management plans to support clients' mental health goals across inpatient, outpatient, or telehealth settings. Engage in clinical research and data collection efforts to improve service delivery and treatment outcomes. Skills Proven experience in psychotherapy, clinical counseling, social work, or behavioral health settings. Strong knowledge of crisis intervention techniques and crisis management protocols. Expertise in working with children, adolescents, individuals with disabilities, or geriatrics; familiarity with pediatrics and special education is a plus. Proficiency in ICD coding (ICD-10), CPT coding for billing purposes, and medical terminology. Skilled in patient assessment, diagnostic evaluation, and case management strategies. Experience with telehealth platforms and delivering remote therapy sessions effectively. Ability to conduct intake assessments and provide direct support tailored to individual client needs. Knowledge of addiction counseling methods, grief counseling approaches, behavioral therapy techniques including applied behavior analysis (ABA), and psychopharmacology considerations. Excellent communication skills for engaging clients through individual or group therapy sessions while maintaining confidentiality under HIPAA standards. Familiarity with medical records management and documentation best practices; ability to work collaboratively within healthcare teams.
