Behavior Technician (BT) About Lacuna Autism Services Lacuna Autism Services is dedicated to providing high-quality Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services to children with autism and their families. Our team is passionate about helping children develop meaningful skills while creating a supportive and collaborative environment for both clients and employees. Position Summary Lacuna Autism Services is seeking compassionate, reliable, and motivated Behavior Technicians to join our team. Behavior Technicians work directly with children with autism, implementing individualized treatment plans developed by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). In this role, you will provide one-on-one therapy focused on communication, social skills, daily living skills, feeding, and behavior reduction goals while collecting data to monitor client progress. This position offers extensive training, ongoing supervision, and opportunities for career growth within the field of ABA. Essential Responsibilities Provide one-on-one ABA therapy to children diagnosed with autism. Implement individualized treatment plans developed by a BCBA. Teach communication, social, play, feeding, toileting, and daily living skills. Collect accurate electronic data during therapy sessions. Utilize behavior intervention strategies and de-escalation techniques as trained. Collaborate with BCBAs, caregivers, and other members of the clinical team. Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and compliance with company policies. Support client safety and engagement throughout therapy sessions. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Education, Human Services, or a related field preferred. Ability to pass a background check prior to employment. Reliable transportation and valid driver's license preferred based on position requirements. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently while receiving ongoing supervision and feedback. Passion for helping children and families reach their goals. Physical Requirements This position requires the ability to: Frequently kneel, squat, bend, sit on the floor, and stand for extended periods. Lift, carry, and move up to 50 pounds. Run, walk, and respond quickly to maintain client safety. Work with clients who may engage in challenging behaviors, including hitting, kicking, biting, throwing objects, or elopement. Training & Certification Completion of the 40-hour Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) training program is required. Employees who are not already certified must complete the RBT competency assessment and pass the RBT examination within designated company timelines. Ongoing supervision, training, and professional development are provided by Lacuna Autism Services.
