Work Environment This position is designed for remote operations, allowing for flexibility and adaptability in delivering therapeutic services. As part of our community health clinic, you will connect with clients through telemedicine platforms, ensuring counseling services are accessible to all, especially those facing barriers to traditional therapy. The teamwork and collaborative spirit foster a supportive work culture, aimed at delivering comprehensive care to diverse populations. Key Responsibilities As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, your primary responsibilities will include: Conducting intake assessments to evaluate the needs of couples and families seeking therapy. Providing therapy sessions for couples as well as individual sessions for family members. Utilizing evidence-based practices to address a wide range of issues, including alcohol abuse, grief and loss, communication difficulties, and conflicts among family members. Developing tailored treatment plans that outline therapy goals and interventions. Maintaining comprehensive clinical documentation and adherence to regulatory standards. Engaging in ongoing professional development through supervision, training, and collaboration with peers. Patient Population / Client Focus You will primarily work with clients from various backgrounds, including adults, adolescents, and children who encounter challenges such as family conflicts, separation and divorce, blended family dynamics, job stress, and emotional distress. Your role will be pivotal in fostering healthier relationships and enhancing communication within families, ultimately contributing to better overall mental health and stability in the community. Qualifications The successful candidate will possess: A Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field. An active and unrestricted state license as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT). A strong commitment to clinical excellence and passion for patient-centered care. Preferred Experience While newly licensed professionals are welcome to apply, preference will be given to candidates who demonstrate: Experience working in a clinical environment with families and couples. Proficiency in using telehealth technologies for delivering psychological services. A background in addressing complex family dynamics and a solid understanding of various therapeutic modalities. Strong organizational and communication skills.
