Job Description

Join Our Team as a Part-Time MDFT (Multi-Dimensional Family Therapy) Therapist for our Alternatives For Youth Expansion Program. Are you passionate about supporting youth, and making a real difference in their lives? EAC Network, a leading not-for-profit social service agency dedicated to helping over 79,000 people through 120 impactful programs across Long Island and NYC, is looking for a dedicated part time MDFT Therapist to join the Alternatives For Youth - Expansion program.
Salary:
$28 to $32 per hour
Schedule:
Work up to 18 Hours (flexible work schedule)
Location:
320 Carleton Ave in Central Islip, NY (Will be traveling throughout Suffolk).
What Drives This Role:
The MDFT Therapist is responsible for delivering home-based, office-based, and community-based clinical services to adolescents and their families enrolled in the Alternatives for Youth (AFY) program. This part-time position utilizes the evidence-based Multi-Dimensional Family Therapy (MDFT) model to address substance use, co-occurring disorders, and behavioral challenges. The Therapist plays a critical role in strengthening family relationships, enhancing youth functioning, and supporting long-term stabilization through culturally responsive, trauma-informed interventions. Responsibilities:
Provide MDFT sessions across home, community, and office settings, employing a strengths-based, trauma informed, family-centered approach. Conduct clinical assessments, develop treatment plans, and maintain timely, accurate, and confidential documentation in accordance with program protocols. Collaborate closely with the MDFT Director and interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated care and adherence to the MDFT model. Participate in required MDFT training, supervision, and fidelity monitoring activities to maintain clinical excellence and model integrity. Engage caregivers, school personnel, probation officers, and other key stakeholders to support therapeutic goals and system-wide alignment.
Key Requirements For This Role:
Master's degree in Social Work (MSW), Mental Health Counseling (MHC), Marriage and Family Therapy (MFT), Psychology, or Substance Use Counseling (such as CASAC with a clinical master's). Prior experience working with adolescents and families in a clinical setting. Willingness successfully complete the MDFT model training and implement it with fidelity. Flexible work schedule to accommodate program needs (work evenings, possible weekends if necessary). Valid NYS Driver's License/ vehicle access and willingness to travel throughout Suffolk County.
