Job Description

A health services organization is seeking a Behavior Intervention Specialist in Niagara Falls, NY. This role focuses on behavioral assessments, support planning, staff training, and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams across residential and community settings. About the

Friday Hours :

37.5 hours per week, flexible start and end times

Setting :

In-person Responsibilities:

Conduct functional behavioral assessments using baseline, proactive, and reactive data. Develop and implement individualized behavior support plans. Provide individual and group counseling to individuals served. Train staff on behavior support plan implementation and monitoring. Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members, families, and outside care providers on behavioral and mental health needs.

Qualifications:

Master's degree in a clinical or treatment-related field such as psychology. Documented training in assessment techniques and behavior support development. At least 2 years of experience as a Behavior Intervention Specialist. At least 5 years of direct experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Ability to travel between multiple service locations in the area. Ability to work flexible hours and participate in occasional on-call coverage.

Desired Skills:

BCBA certification. Experience with OPWDD services. Familiarity with SCIP or PROMOTE training. Experience using PrecisionCare.
