JOB SUMMARY
New Horizons Recovery Centers LLC is based behavioral health organization offering mental health and substance use disorders. The Music Therapist will provide a 1 hour music therapy group to our clients once per week or once bi-weekly and will be paid for one hour of therapy as well as one hour for clean up/ documentation. This position will be supervised by the Executive Director. The music Therapist will work out of our Kennett Square office. The music Therapist will work in collaboration with the clinical team to coordinate client care and services.
Job Requirements and Responsibilities Requirements and Responsibilities:
Responsible for providing Music Therapy to clients in a clinical setting once per week during scheduled hours. Treat and provide care to adults experiencing symptoms of a behavioral health disorders. Collaborate with the clinical team to provide the best treatment and care for clients. Records all services performed for accurate billing for services provided in compliance with all local, state and federal laws, as well as payor rules and regulations. Submits billing documents in a timely fashion. Positively promotes the company to prospective clients and employees.

Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. Related license in process. Demonstrated computer proficiency.

Ability to assess, plan services, and deliver services to individuals. Ability to establish rapport, systematically gather data, determine the readiness for individual treatment and change, and apply accepted criteria for diagnosis of substance use disorders. Ability to screen for psychoactive substance toxicity, intoxication, and withdrawal symptoms. Ability to screen for danger to self or others. Ability to screen for co-occurring mental health issues. Ability to analyze and interpret data to determine treatment recommendations and priorities. Ability to formulate mutually agreed-upon, measurable treatment goals and objectives in conjunction with the individual served. Demonstrated adherence to acceptable ethical and behavioral standards of conduct. Participation in continuing Professional Development. Knowledge of strategies for treating Substance Use Disorders and Mental Health Knowledge of medication-assisted therapy. Skilled in meeting client needs in keeping with state required staff-to-client ratio. Ability to provide education and information to individuals and groups, through formal and/or informal processes, concerning their substance abuse. Ability to identify client needs that cannot be met by the counselor or agency and assists clients to utilize the support systems and community resources available. Demonstrated knowledge of accepted principles of client record management.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds. Ability to walk up and down stairs during emergency drills or situations.
