Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Mental Health Therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality mental health counseling services to individuals and groups, focusing on promoting emotional well-being and personal growth. This role will primarily serve residents of long-term care and acute rehab facilities. The therapist will be responsible for conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and providing direct support to clients in a therapeutic setting. You will work with an on-site team who will schedule the visits and facilitate the technology required for the virtual sessions. Duties Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify clients' mental health needs and develop individualized treatment plans. Provide direct support through individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing evidence-based practices. Implement motivational interviewing techniques to encourage client engagement and progress. Maintain accurate medical documentation of client interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes in compliance with regulatory standards. Collaborate with other professionals to ensure holistic care for clients. Qualifications Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field. Must possess a valid license as a Mental Health Therapist. Experience in mental health counseling, particularly with direct support roles. Strong skills in medical documentation. Ability to work effectively with geriatric populations and understand their unique needs. Excellent communication skills, empathy, and the ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
