Job Summary:
Therapist -
Adult Outpatient Salary Range:
$64,000.00 To $90,000.00 Annually The Adult Outpatient Therapist is a Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) that provides integrated outpatient mental health treatment services that are based on medical necessity and that support and promote mental health and recovery. QMHPs endeavor to a) Promote recovery, resiliency, wellness, independence and safety for individuals receiving addictions and mental health services and supports; b) Specify standards for services and supports that are person-directed, client-guided, culturally competent, and trauma-informed and wellness informed; and c) Promote functional and rehabilitative outcomes for individuals throughout a continuum of care that is developmentally appropriate. QMHP's responsibilities are to engage and respond in crisis intervention; facilitate access for mental health treatment; provide therapeutic interventions including informed consent, advocacy, and integrated care; assist with access to community resources; facilitate development and retention of natural and community supports; provide appropriate individual, group, and community psycho-education; actively work to reduce stigma, barriers, and to build a community foundation for success.
Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in psychology, social work or related field with experience in a mental health setting.
  • Licensed providers preferred.
  • Current MHACBO eligibility/registration as a QMHP or current
Oregon Licensing Board Associate Registration Primary Responsibilities:
(including, but not limited to):
  • Implements and maintains the organization's philosophies, principles, and procedures in all facets of performance.
  • Provides services and conducts self in a manner consistent with the profession Code of Ethics.
  • Provides clinically appropriate treatment based on mental health assessment and treatment plans. Treatment includes initial assessments and evaluations, scheduled therapy appointments, case management services, education of clients and family members, and provision of group sessions.
  • Completes timely and accurate documentation. Meets audited tested requirements.
  • Assures continuous reimbursable sessions for assigned clients in accordance with client needs.
  • Participates in planned supervision and case consultation meetings. Come prepared with an agenda and keep supervisor informed.
  • Participates in professional development through individual and group supervision, unit and agency staff meetings and workshops. Develops, modifies, and/or obtains training programs and materials in consultation with supervisor and program manager. Promotes peer professional development by sharing training materials and/or training others in successful interventions.
  • Performs unique duties, as assigned by Program Manager or Supervisor.
