Job Description

Our Mental Health Outpatient Treatment Center is looking for an AMFT to work with Adolescents and Young Adults. Attain your hours toward a License and get paid Channel Islands Mental Health is dedicated to develop functional skills and education to adolescents and young adults helping to navigate and promote health and mental well being. DUTY STATEMENT
The Therapist provides advanced clinical services in coordination with the treatment team consistent with Channel Islands Mental Health Standards of Care. The primary purpose is to provide individual counseling/therapy services to persons participating in the mental health outpatient program to process mental health problems and develop skills and tools to better mental health. This role integrates mental health treatment along with education. The Therapist participates as a member of a multidisciplinary team, providing mental health treatment and services to clients, including assessment and diagnosis, individual and group psychotherapy, crisis intervention, and ongoing care planning.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
Therapy and Counseling — Knowledge of principles, methods, and procedures for diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation of physical and mental dysfunctions, and for career counseling and guidance. Psychology — Knowledge of human behavior and performance; individual differences in ability, personality, and interests; learning and motivation; psychological research methods; and the assessment and treatment of behavioral and affective disorders. Education and Training — Knowledge of principles and methods for curriculum and training design, teaching and instruction for individuals and groups, and the measurement of training effects. Provide mental health treatment services to patients according to the Channel Islands Mental Health standards of care, policies, and procedures. To represent Channel Islands MH services to various audiences to ensure consistent knowledge about services, processes and participation. Facilitate and demonstrate communication of patient information to internal and external resources for patients according to Channel Islands MH policy and procedures and consistent with Federal Confidentiality, and Health Information Portability and Privacy Act and mandated reporting requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS
Master's Degree in Counseling or Psychology Attaining a CA licensure as an LMFT, LCSW, or LPCC One or more years of providing therapy in a mental health treatment environment. Job Type•
