This part-time position as potential to grow into full-time. This position is mostly in-office, with some possible hybrid remote work. About TheraThrive At TheraThrive (an established group practice), we specialize in neurodiversity, which includes autism, ADHD, giftedness, learning disabilities and more. We support highly sensitive and intense children, teens and adults. We are also experienced in testing, assessment, and treating anxiety, depression, and just about everything else. We help with people who are dealing with a variety of challenges, such as existential depression, generalized anxiety, OCD, sleep problems, emotional reactivity, transition concerns, problematic behaviors, addiction, need for self-understanding, parenting stress, anger issues, overwhelm, work stress, relationship concerns, and more. We are a team of neurodivergent and neurodivergent affirming clinicians specializing in serving neurodivergent people of all ages, and their families and communities, and we offer counseling, consultation, social groups, neurofeedback, and assessment for neurodivergent children, teens, adults, couples, parents, and families. Description We're seeking a part-time Associate Therapist based at our office in Lafayette, CA. This part-time position will start in mid-late September 2026. We serve all ages (children, teens, adults, families, and groups). Our clients are typically neurodivergent, intense, highly sensitive and bright, which we value and love to work with. Our neuroaffirming IOP program for youth age 12-17 is set to launch October 2026!

In this position:

You will have the opportunity to provide individual therapy, family therapy, group therapy, and parent support for our IOP clients You will also maintain a therapy caseload separate from our IOP program, all ages (5 years-older adult) We provide Excellent supervision and training Paid admin time (supervision is paid time) Integrated practice management system Regular group training events Opportunities to collaborate Potential to learn a large number of treatment modalities, neurofeedback, and clinical assessment Comfortable and spacious boutique office space with all materials provided Matching 401K (all employees) Paid sick time (all employees) To note: Full-time employee benefits include paid time off (PTO), health insurance plans, life insurance (full-time employees only) Work Location Your primary work location will be our Lafayette office Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday afternoons You may request to work remotely outside of required in-office work hours You may work additional days and hours at the office Required Hours Part-time employees work 18-25 total work hours per week (15+ client hours/week) Group supervision is held Wednesdays between 10am-12pm All-Staff Day is an annual in-person event (all day) Requirements include Current State of California BBS Registration as an APCC or AMFT An interest in working with clients of all ages (we serve children and adults; it is likely that more than half of your clinical caseload will be children, including young children ages 5+) Willingness to provide a comprehensive website bio to help grow your recognition in the community A keen interest in learning about neurodivergence, autism, ADHD, giftedness, high sensitivity, anxiety, OCD, TBI, learning disabilities, and autoimmune is essential Neuroaffirming LGTBQIA+ ally Sex positive Top-notch psychotherapy skills Ability and desire to work at least 18 hours per week (part-time) Ability and willingness to work at least 2 late weekday evenings per week Ability and willingness to work at least 2 weekend hours per week Some technology skills (we use CounSol, Google Meet, and Google Workspace) Ability to lift 43 pounds A big plus if you have Prior experience running groups for children and teenagers Prior experience with high acuity Prior knowledge of neurodivergent populations, autism, ADHD, giftedness, highly sensitive populations, OCD, TBI, learning disabilities, etc. Prior knowledge of autoimmune conditions, especially PANS Neurofeedback experience (we provide 19 channel neurofeedback) IOP and/or group therapy experience Particular experience/knowledge that will complement our mission of serving neurodivergent populations Child therapy, family therapy, parenting support experience, and/or co-parenting support experience Compensation $50/hr for client service hours (to start), and $25/hr for administrative hours (admin hours are for required meetings, including supervision hours); paid out twice per month.
