SOUTH ASIAN COMMUNITY FOCUS

Hybrid in Culver City or Torrance | Part-time or full-time Shakti Therapy & Healing Services is a culturally responsive psychotherapy practice offering trauma-informed, depth-oriented care. We are looking for a reliable clinician who wants thoughtful supervision or consultation, a collaborative team, and the opportunity to build a sustainable caseload while serving culturally diverse communities.

THE ROLE

Provide individual therapy and, when within your competence, couples therapy. Work through a combination of telehealth and in-person sessions in Culver City or Torrance. Attend required supervision, consultation, and team meetings on time. Complete progress notes within 24 hours. Communicate promptly about scheduling, availability, and client-care needs.

REQUIRED

Active California AMFT, ASW, APCC, LMFT, LCSW, or LPCC credential in good standing. Associates must have at least 1,000 accrued clinical experience hours. Ability to work a hybrid schedule, including up to two in-office days per week in Culver City or Torrance. Strong documentation, communication, organization, and follow-through. Commitment to culturally responsive, trauma-informed, affirming care.

WE ESPECIALLY VALUE

Demonstrated experience serving South Asian, Muslim, immigrant, first-generation, BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, or other historically underserved communities. Clinical language proficiency in Hindi, Urdu, Punjabi, Gujarati, Bengali, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Nepali, or another language relevant to the communities we serve. Group-practice or outpatient experience. Training or interest in somatic therapy, IFS-informed work, mindfulness, trauma treatment, couples work, perinatal mental health, ketamine-assisted psychotherapy, or psychedelic integration.

Receive structured clinical supervision or collaborative consultation and support developing your clinical niche. Work flexibly through telehealth and Shakti's Culver City or Torrance offices. Receive pay for authorized client care, supervision, consultation, and administrative work.

COMPENSATION AND SUPPORT

$30-$40 per clinical hour, depending on licensure, experience, and qualifications. Eligible employees may qualify for medical coverage, a 401(k) with employer matching, malpractice coverage, and professional-development support, subject to plan terms and hours worked.
