Description Position Overview Healthy Mind and Wellness Counseling Clinic is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to join our dynamic team. This full-time position offers the flexibility of a remote work environment while delivering essential therapeutic services to children and families, especially those with unique developmental and intellectual challenges. Our clinic specializes in providing intensive in-home therapy and outpatient services for children with developmental disabilities and mental health challenges. Offering both remote and outpatient office settings, we ensure our staff can balance their professional and personal lives effectively. Key Responsibilities Deliver tailored therapy sessions in-home or through our outpatient center, addressing individual and group needs. Facilitate anger management workshops, coping strategies, and social skills development to reduce high-risk behaviors among clients. Empower youth and their caregivers in enhancing decision-making skills necessary for managing behavioral issues within the home. Work collaboratively with the Child Family Treatment Team and multiple professional disciplines to provide unified support to families. Maintain accurate and timely documentation such as intake assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes to ensure the continuity of care. Engage in monthly professional meetings to share insights, provide recommendations, and enhance the service delivery process. Patient Population / Client Focus This position focuses on serving children and adolescents aged 3 to 20 years who have developmental delays and intellectual disabilities. Our therapists work closely with primary caregivers to develop customized therapeutic approaches that meet the complex needs of each child while promoting family involvement and support. Qualifications A Master's degree in Counseling, Family Therapy, Social Work, or a related field is required. An active, unrestricted LMFT license in the state of Texas is essential. Availability for a minimum of 5-10 hours weekly, preferably during after-school hours from 4 PM to 7 PM, with some weekend shift flexibility. A valid driver's license and access to a registered vehicle are mandatory. Successful completion of a criminal background check, including fingerprinting, is required. Preferred Experience Experience in providing positive behavior support strategies. Prior experience working with diverse children and families, particularly those with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Proficiency in bilingual therapy services, particularly for Spanish or Portuguese-speaking clients, is preferred. Compensation and Benefits The position offers a competitive salary range of
USD 60,000
to 80,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
