Job Description

Overview We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Clinical Therapist to join our dedicated team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mental health counseling and a passion for helping individuals and families navigate their challenges. This role involves providing therapeutic support to clients, particularly children and families, while utilizing various therapeutic modalities to promote healing and growth. Duties Conduct individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing. Perform intake assessments and diagnostic evaluations to develop tailored treatment plans for clients. Provide crisis intervention and management for clients in distress, ensuring safety and appropriate support. Engage in child and family counseling, focusing on behavioral therapy and applied behavior analysis. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care, including case management and direct support services. Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations, including ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding. Facilitate group therapy sessions addressing various issues such as grief, addiction, PTSD care, and chronic pain counseling. Offer telehealth services as needed to accommodate client accessibility. Participate in clinical research initiatives aimed at improving therapeutic practices within the organization. Qualifications Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field required. Valid licensure as a Clinical Therapist or equivalent certification preferred. Experience working with children, families, and individuals with developmental disabilities is highly desirable. Familiarity with behavioral health practices including crisis management, patient assessment, and medical terminology. Knowledge of special populations such as geriatrics or individuals with autism is a plus. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds. Experience in inpatient or outpatient settings preferred; clinic experience is beneficial. Proficiency in art therapy or dance therapy techniques is an asset but not mandatory. Commitment to ongoing professional development through training in areas such as psychopharmacology or gender issues counseling.
