Description Position Overview Allegiance Mental Healthcare is actively seeking a dedicated Licensed Mental Health Therapist for a full-time remote position. This role offers the opportunity to provide critical mental health services to clients coping with trauma-related conditions, ultimately making a profound impact on their recovery journey. About the Organization At Allegiance Mental Healthcare, located in Spokane, Washington, we are committed to fostering a healing environment for individuals affected by trauma. Our outpatient facility is specialized in treating complex trauma, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and dissociative disorders. We focus on evidence-based practices to offer comprehensive care tailored to our patients' unique needs, believing that everyone has the right to a path toward recovery. Work Environment This position is entirely remote, allowing therapists to deliver care through telehealth practices. You will be a vital member of a closely-knit team of professionals who prioritize patient well-being and coordinated care. The environment promotes a culture of support, where therapists engage in regular case consultations, professional development, and team meetings. Key Responsibilities Conduct thorough trauma-informed assessments to understand patients' past trauma and determine appropriate evidence-based treatment strategies. Collaborate with clients to craft personalized treatment plans that embody their recovery goals and concentrate on rebuilding resilience. Utilize trauma-focused therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), in individual and group therapy settings. Guide clients in exploring their trauma narratives and developing effective coping mechanisms through carefully structured therapy sessions. Work collaboratively with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure patients receive a holistic approach to care. Provide timely crisis intervention and compassionate support during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring a safe space for patients to navigate their emotional challenges. Educate patients and their families about trauma responses, available resources, and effective coping strategies. Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation in line with legal and ethical standards while using electronic health record (EHR) systems. Engage in ongoing professional development to remain informed about the latest research and advancements in trauma therapy. Patient Population / Client Focus The patient population you will serve consists primarily of individuals coping with the repercussions of trauma, as well as those experiencing PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. As a therapist, you will work intimately with these individuals, creating a support system that acknowledges their unique experiences and needs. Qualifications A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited program. Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in the state of Washington. Minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in a mental health setting, preferred. In-depth knowledge of trauma-related disorders and effective trauma-informed treatment modalities. Strong interpersonal, communication, and emotional intelligence skills, emphasizing a compassionate and understanding approach. Ability to maintain composure and provide effective support in high-stress situations. Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and modern technology applications. Preferred Experience Ideal candidates will have considerable experience delivering trauma-focused therapies, and familiarity with modalities such as EMDR and TF-CBT will be viewed favorably. Strong teamwork skills and the ability to actively participate in multidisciplinary approaches to patient care are essential.
