About Ragin Wellness Center Ragin Wellness Center is a growing outpatient mental health practice serving children, adolescents, young adults, and families in Sumter and surrounding communities. Our goal is to provide high-quality, culturally responsive, trauma-informed mental health care in an environment that feels welcoming, relatable, and supportive. We are currently seeking two compassionate and motivated mental health clinicians to join our team as 1099 independent contractors. Position Summary The Contract Mental Health Therapist will provide outpatient behavioral health services to children, adolescents, young adults, and/or families based on the clinician's experience and areas of competency. This position is ideal for a clinician who enjoys flexibility, values autonomy, and wants to grow a caseload within a supportive private-practice setting. Services may include individual therapy, family therapy, parent support, behavioral interventions, psychoeducation, and other clinically appropriate services. Qualifications Applicants should hold an active or eligible South Carolina behavioral health license or credential, including:

Candidates must be able to practice within the scope of their South Carolina license and comply with all applicable supervision requirements. Preferred Qualifications We are especially interested in clinicians who have experience or interest in working with: Children and adolescents ADHD Anxiety and depression Trauma and adverse childhood experiences Emotional regulation Behavioral concerns Family conflict Grief and loss School-related challenges Parent support and family systems Training in evidence-based or evidence-informed approaches such as CBT, DBT-informed interventions, ACT, trauma-focused treatment, play-based interventions, or family therapy is a plus.

Responsibilities The clinician will:

Conduct clinical assessments and provide outpatient psychotherapy Develop individualized treatment plans Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation Monitor client progress and update treatment plans as clinically appropriate Conduct ongoing risk assessments when indicated Communicate professionally with clients, caregivers, and treatment partners Maintain client confidentiality and comply with HIPAA requirements Maintain all required licenses, credentials, and professional liability coverage Participate in credentialing and onboarding requirements Maintain professional and ethical standards Manage an agreed-upon caseload and schedule Collaborate with the Ragin Wellness Center team as appropriate Schedule This is a flexible contract position. Clinicians may work with Ragin Wellness Center to develop a schedule that meets both client needs and clinician availability. Afternoon, evening, and/or limited weekend availability is especially valuable due to the population we serve.
