Job Description

The Couples Clinic of Portland is looking for a mental health professional to join our team of contracted clinicians. This is an opportunity to provide skilled, compassionate counseling to individuals, couples and families in a private practice type environment. The pay is great and the amount of paperwork required is miniscule. It is very much like having a private practice, except that someone else is doing all of the administrative work for you and paying the overhead. You show up for your shift, provide exceptional 50 minute sessions, use the 10 minutes between clients to write your progress notes, and you are done for the day. The ideal candidate would be a fully licensed therapist/counselor/social worker, or a licensed associate already working towards completing their supervised hours, who is experienced and passionate about working with couples, and open to seeing individuals and families as well. Emotionally focused therapy (EFT) for couples training, Gottman training, or some other couple therapy, post graduate, training is a huge bonus. Please note that this position is primarily
IN-PERSON
at our office location. Virtual only candidates will not be considered at this time.
Benefits:
  • We are not in network with insurance, so our clinicians can practice with minimal to no burdensome paperwork and/or administrative red tape. -100% drama free work environment. Wonderful staff and coworkers.
  • Our clinicians are not required to do any of their own scheduling, phone calls, marketing or out of network billing so they can focus on honing their skills and attending to their clients' well-being
  • Our clinicians have zero overhead or financial responsibility, other than their professional liability insurance
  • We offer an easy-to-use electronic note system
  • Our clinicians work schedules are very flexible and suited to fit their lifestyles and preferences.
  • We are located in Northwest Portland and have well furnished, beautiful offices.
Since Covid, many of our clinicians are doing teletherapy. However, since the mask mandate was lifted earlier this year, we have seen an increased demand for in-person clinicians so we are primarily looking to fill an in person position at this time. A hybrid model (some in person days some teletherapy days) is a possibility for the right fit.
  • Compensation is generous at $96-$120 per client hour, depending on experience. Full or part time. Annually, working 20 hours a week with 4 weeks of vacation this would range from $92,160 to $115,200. You can work more or less than 20 hours a week (you decide how many hours you want to work) and adjust this pay accordingly. $96
