Work Environment The Mental Health Therapist will work remotely, allowing for flexibility in delivering care while ensuring patients receive the support they need. Key Responsibilities Conduct culturally sensitive mental health assessments to understand and evaluate patients' unique life experiences, strengths, and challenges. Develop and implement tailored, evidence-based treatment plans that consider patients' cultural and personal backgrounds to ensure effective therapeutic outcomes. Provide one-on-one and group therapy sessions focusing on various mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, relationship dynamics, and trauma recovery. Coordinate with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists and other mental health professionals, to deliver comprehensive care that enhances patient outcomes. Serve as a crisis intervention specialist, offering immediate support and resources during mental health emergencies. Educate and empower clients and their families about mental health conditions and available community resources, fostering a better understanding of ongoing care options. Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation in compliance with all legal and ethical standards, including progress notes and treatment outcomes. Actively engage in case conferences, sharing insights to optimize treatment approaches and promote team collaboration. Participate in cultural competency training and continuous professional development initiatives to ensure therapy practices remain relevant and inclusive. Patient Population / Client Focus Our clinic serves a wide range of patients, notably those from diverse ethnicities, cultures, and orientations. Our focus is on providing mental health support to underserved populations, addressing disparities in care, and ensuring that all individuals feel seen and understood. The therapist will be instrumental in shaping a positive therapeutic experience for a varied client demographic, enhancing their capacity to cope and thrive. Qualifications Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution. Current and valid license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in Texas. In-depth knowledge of mental health disorders, evidence-based therapeutic approaches, and an unwavering commitment to cultural competency in practice. Proven experience in delivering therapeutic interventions, both individually and in group settings, utilizing inclusive practices tailored to the client's background. Exceptional crisis intervention capabilities, with skills to maintain composure in high-stress situations. Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to cultivate trust and rapport across diverse populations. Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and other relevant documentation practices. A deep commitment to professional ethics, confidentiality, and the maintenance of professional boundaries. Ability to thrive in a collaborative environment, contributing positively to a multidisciplinary team. Preferred Experience Experience in community health settings or with culturally diverse populations. Familiarity with community resources and local support systems relevant to mental health care. Previous engagement in professional training related to cultural competency or specialized therapy methods. Compensation and Benefits We offer a competitive salary ranging from $70,000 to $100,000 yearly, based on experience and qualifications.
