Work Environment This role is designed for a remote work setting, providing flexibility while allowing you to connect with clients across various locations. Our community health clinic has established a versatile virtual framework to ensure consistent and effective therapy sessions, enabling our therapists to efficiently manage caseloads from anywhere. As a member of our team, you will collaborate with other mental health professionals to ensure an integrated approach to client care. Key Responsibilities Conduct thorough initial evaluations to determine the severity and impact of mood disorder symptoms on clients' lives. Create personalized treatment plans that address the unique needs and goals of each client, incorporating evidence-based therapies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). Facilitate group therapy sessions for various populations, providing support and resources to marginalized individuals, including the homeless, refugees, and victims of domestic violence. Monitor clients' progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary based on individual and familial needs. Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, symptom management, treatment options, and self-care strategies. Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare providers to ensure a holistic approach to client care. Stay updated on relevant research and advancements in mood disorder treatment to continually enhance therapeutic practices. Maintain accurate and confidential client records, adhering to all legal and ethical standards. Participate in team meetings, case consultations, and ongoing professional development activities. Advocate for mental health awareness and support clients in overcoming societal stigmas. Patient Population / Client Focus This position primarily focuses on helping individuals experiencing mood disorders, including depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety. Our clients may come from diverse backgrounds, including marginalized populations such as homeless individuals, refugees, and survivors of domestic violence. As an LMFT, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on their lives by facilitating their journey toward mental health recovery and personal empowerment. Qualifications A current and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT). A Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to build trustful and confidential relationships with clients. Demonstrated empathy, compassion, and a nonjudgmental attitude toward clients' experiences and challenges. Excellent organizational and time management skills to effectively handle administrative duties and maintain client care. Preferred Experience Prior experience treating clients with mood disorders, especially within a community health setting. Knowledge or experience with group therapy dynamics and practices. Familiarity with trauma-informed care approaches and interventions. Compensation and Benefits The salary range for this position is competitive, at approximately
USD 70,000
