In this role, you will deliver individual, group, and family therapy sessions across outpatient and inpatient settings, utilizing a variety of therapeutic modalities. Your expertise will help clients navigate mental health challenges, manage crises, and achieve personal growth. This paid position offers flexible scheduling and opportunities for professional development in a vibrant healthcare setting (In-office/Remote available-no home visits) Responsibilities Works professionally well independently Communicates client needs/updates for supports Completes documentation within twenty four hours Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and diagnostic evaluations using ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding systems to inform treatment planning. Provide individual and group therapy sessions employing modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, and applied behavior analysis (ABA). Engage in crisis management and crisis intervention to ensure immediate safety and stabilization for clients experiencing acute mental health episodes. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop personalized care plans that incorporate case management, social work principles, and patient care best practices. Document all clinical interactions accurately in medical records while maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations and medical terminology standards. Utilize telehealth platforms effectively to expand access to mental health services for remote or underserved populations. Support research initiatives by collecting data, analyzing outcomes, and contributing to clinical research projects focused on behavioral health advancements. Requirements Valid Illinois licensure as a Mental Health Therapist (e.g., LCSW, LMFT, LPC) with current state certification. Proven experience in psychotherapy techniques including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, grief counseling, addiction counseling, PTSD care, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder. Strong skills in crisis management, behavior management, patient assessment, and medical documentation. Familiarity with ICD coding systems (ICD-9/ICD-10) for diagnostic purposes and CPT coding for billing procedures. Experience delivering services via Telehealth platforms with an understanding of HIPAA compliance standards. Knowledge of medical terminology related to behavioral health and experience working in outpatient or inpatient clinical settings. Ability to work effectively with diverse populations including pediatrics, geriatrics, individuals with disabilities, and those facing gender issues or chronic pain challenges. Excellent communication skills combined with a compassionate approach to patient care; flexibility to adapt to various clinical environments.
