At Community and Family Resources, we have the opportunity to serve clients who may be in a difficult place and help them work towards a resolution. We are currently seeking a Mental Health Therapist in our Iowa City location. The therapist in this role would work with children as well as adults with co-occurring, substance use and gambling concerns. Therapists in this role can be considered for a hybrid position providing some services in person and some services remotely.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Conducts clinical assessments and provides diagnosis, treatment and referrals when indicated Carries a treatment caseload; provides psychotherapy for individuals, couples, families, and groups as appropriate; starts and ends sessions on time; and maintains consumer confidentiality Accurately and punctually completes needed clinical documentation and insurance authorization requests Maintains appropriate client and pre-client case records Provides clients and families with referral resources for the services not provided by this agency or when this agency's services are not appropriate

40 hours each week, Monday-Friday during regular business hours with 1 later day (10a-6p or 11a-7p) preferred.
Education and Experience Qualifications:
Master's degree from an accredited university in the social or behavioral sciences is required. Current Iowa Licensure as a Psychologist, Social Worker (LISW or LMSW)), Mental Health Counselor (tLMHC or LMHC) or Marriage and Family Therapist (tLMFT or LMFT) is required.
