Our practice is receiving more inquiries from prospective clients than we can currently accommodate. This position offers the opportunity to build a caseload quickly while maintaining meaningful flexibility over your schedule. The therapist will primarily work with individual adults and couples seeking support with relationship concerns, anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, communication difficulties, attachment patterns, and other emotional or interpersonal challenges. What We Offer A consistent stream of prospective client referrals The ability to build a caseload without having to market yourself independently A flexible schedule Administrative support related to scheduling, billing, and client onboarding A thoughtfully designed private-practice environment Opportunities for professional collaboration and consultation In-person, hybrid, or telehealth options Peer supervision Responsibilities Provide individual psychotherapy to adults and psychotherapy to couples Conduct intake assessments and develop appropriate treatment plans Maintain timely, accurate, and clinically appropriate documentation Collaborate with clients around treatment goals and progress Communicate professionally with clients, colleagues, and outside providers when appropriate Maintain ethical and professional standards in accordance with licensing requirements Participate in staff meetings and / or peer supervision Maintain a caseload of approximately 15-25 client sessions per week Qualifications Current license in good standing as an LSW, LCSW, LMHC, LAMFT, or LMFT Graduate degree in social work, counseling, marriage and family therapy, psychology, or a related field Experience providing psychotherapy to adults Experience or strong interest in working with couples Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and professional boundaries Ability to work independently while also participating in a collaborative practice Commitment to culturally responsive, inclusive, and affirming care Ability to maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation Preferred Qualifications Training or experience in one or more couples or trauma-focused approaches, such as EFT, IFS, EMDR, attachment-based therapy, or another experiential modality Experience working in a private-practice setting Interest in developing a stable, ongoing caseload Experience working with LGBTQIA+ clients and diverse relationship structures Availability during evenings, weekends and daytime hours Schedule and Location This could be a full time or a part-time position, depending on your needs. The therapist will have flexibility in determining their regular clinical schedule within the needs and operating hours of the practice. Sessions will be provided through a hybrid of telehealth and in person at our office in Montclair.
