In this role, you will provide individualized counseling services, empower clients to achieve their personal goals, and promote mental wellness. • Duties
• Deliver clinical counseling services in-office and/or via telehealth.
• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to determine individual needs and develop tailored treatment plans.
• Utilize evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), trauma-informed approaches, neurocounseling, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), EDMR, etc.
• Maintain accurate documentation of client progress and treatment interventions in compliance with regulatory standards. (

• Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in behavioral health.
• Develop your own professional goals and seek support from Mount North in reaching those goals.
• Provide supervision to interns and/or master-level clinicians.

• Skills
• Proficiency in psychotherapy techniques. A thorough understanding of the neurobiological functions of emotional health and the ability to empower clients with psychoeducation and relevant skills is highly desired.
• Experience in behavioral health settings, with a focus on clinical counseling.
• Knowledge of pediatric mental health issues, along with the ability to work effectively with children, adolescents, and their families is celebrated but not required.
• Experience and training or the willingness to be trained in trauma-informed approaches is required.
• Strong patient assessment skills, enabling the identification of client needs and appropriate interventions.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively engage with clients and collaborate with team members.

• Key Responsibilities
• Conduct thorough assessments and develop personalized treatment plans.

Provide individual, couples, and family counseling sessions using evidence-based practices. (You can choose your specialty populations and how many couples or family cases you want or do not want). Maintain accurate and confidential client records in compliance with HIPAA regulations using IntakeQ. Communicate with clients primarily using the messenger in IntakeQ. (There are no requirements for number or frequency of client communication) Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in the field. Build strong therapeutic relationships and provide a safe space for clients to explore their feelings. Seek support and consultation from colleagues. Develop your professional goals and share those goals with Mount North for support and resources. Define your schedule and desired populations. While we prefer clinicians who can provide some in-person sessions at our Johnstown office, we may consider fully remote applicants.

Qualifications:

Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, or a related field. Current PA state licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Marraige and Family Therapist (FMT) or equivalent. Master-level clinicians who will be eligible to receive licensure within two years are also encouraged to apply. We will provide supervision towards licensure. Minimum 2 years of experience in a counseling setting (preferred). Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Commitment to cultural competence and sensitivity in counseling practices.
