Job Description
Overview Join our dedicated mental health team as a Mental Health Therapist, where you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive psychological support and therapeutic services to diverse populations. This dynamic position offers the opportunity to work in outpatient clinics, via telehealth platforms, delivering evidence-based interventions that foster resilience and recovery. As a key member of our team, you will utilize your expertise to assess, diagnose, and treat individuals across a broad spectrum of mental health conditions, ensuring compassionate care that promotes lasting well-being. Responsibilities Conduct thorough clinical assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding systems to determine appropriate treatment plans. Provide individual, group, and family therapy sessions employing modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, and applied behavior analysis. Implement crisis intervention strategies and crisis management protocols to support clients experiencing acute mental health emergencies. Facilitate intake processes for new clients, ensuring accurate medical documentation and adherence to HIPAA regulations for patient confidentiality. Develop personalized treatment plans incorporating behavioral management techniques, social work principles, and patient care best practices. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including medical professionals, case managers, educators, and family members to coordinate comprehensive care. Maintain detailed medical records and documentation of progress notes, treatment outcomes, and clinical research data in compliance with healthcare standards. Requirements Master's degree or higher in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling or related field; licensure or certification as required by state law. LPC or LCSW Proven experience with psychotherapy modalities such as motivational interviewing, behavioral therapy, psychopharmacology coordination, addiction counseling, grief counseling, PTSD care, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism. Strong knowledge of ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), CPT coding for billing purposes, medical terminology, and electronic medical records systems. Experience delivering telehealth services using secure platforms; familiarity with HIPAA compliance is essential. Ability to manage crisis situations effectively while demonstrating excellent crisis management skills. Compassionate approach to working with diverse populations including pediatrics, geriatrics, patients with disabilities or chronic pain conditions. Excellent communication skills combined with a proactive attitude toward patient assessment and case management.
