Job Description
At Standard Healthcare Plus, we provide comprehensive mental healthcare to adults, adolescents and children in and around Clinton, Maryland, and throughout Prince George's County. We are a well-established mental health agency based in Clinton, MD , now expanding into Baltimore , Hagerstown and Frederick, MD to better serve our communities. We are seeking several dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Therapists to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality clinical counseling services to individuals facing various mental health challenges, including those with developmental disabilities and substance use disorders. This role requires a commitment to patient assessment, treatment planning, and the implementation of evidence-based therapeutic techniques in both outpatient and clinical settings. Duties Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to identify mental health needs and develop individualized treatment plans. Provide clinical counseling services utilizing various therapeutic modalities, including applied behavior analysis. Facilitate addiction counseling sessions for clients struggling with substance use issues. Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with regulatory standards. Collect and analyze research data to inform treatment strategies and improve service delivery. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support clients with developmental disabilities. Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in mental health therapy. Qualifications Master's degree or higher in psychology, social work, counseling, or a related field. Valid licensure as a mental health professional (LCSW, LPC, LMFT, LMSW, LCPC, LGPC, LCSW-C, etc.) preferred. Experience in outpatient settings or clinics is highly desirable. Strong skills in patient assessment and treatment planning. Knowledge of addiction counseling techniques is a plus. Familiarity with medical records management and data collection processes. Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds. Commitment to ethical practice and continuous improvement in therapeutic techniques. Provide individual and group therapy using play-based or age appropriate modalities, collaborating with parents, caregivers, and schools to coordinate care, and monitoring progress while adjusting interventions as needed.
