Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Clinician to join our team at Merc Counseling Services in Kingston, PA. The ideal candidate will possess 2+ years experience in mental health counseling and be committed to providing high-quality care to individuals facing various challenges. Operating knowledge of Simple Practice is a huge plus. This role involves working with clients from diverse backgrounds, and requires a deep understanding of clinical counseling practices. The Clinician will play a crucial role in assessing client needs, developing treatment plans, and providing therapeutic support. Duties Conduct comprehensive assessments to determine clients' mental health needs and develop individualized treatment plans. Provide individual clinical counseling services to clients, while building and maintaining schedule. Maintain accurate and confidential medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Facilitate individual and potentially group therapy sessions focused on behavioral health improvement. Monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as needed to ensure effective outcomes. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide holistic care for clients in inpatient settings. Engage in ongoing professional development to stay updated on best practices in mental health counseling. Qualifications Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field. Valid state licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Social Worker (LSW), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). Minimum 2 years experience doing individual therapy. Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining client confidentiality. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to build rapport with clients. Demonstrated ability to manage a clinical schedule while also being self-motivated. Previous experience in behavioral health settings is highly desirable.
